Bobbie Lee (Carter) Moore

Mrs. Bobbie Lee Moore, 74 of Bamberg, SC passed away December 8, 2017 at the home after a brief illness.

Funeral services for Mrs. Moore will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, December 10, 2017 at the Edisto Baptist Church 4831 Edisto River Road Branchville, SC with Rev. Jakie Waters officiating. Burial will be in Church Cemetery.

She was born in Charleston, SC on October 26, 1943 to the late Miles Carter and the late Mary Lee Miller Kirkland. She was married to the late John Robert Moore, Sr.

She was a faithful lifelong member of Edisto Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for nursery aged children for many years. She taught various aged children over many years in vacation bible school as well. She worked at Bamberg Ehrhardt High School for 22 years as a cafeteria worker. Her favorite times were spent in the mountains in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

She is survived by two sons John Calvin (Lisa) Moore, John Robert “Bob” (Kelly) Moore, Jr. and one daughter Patricia Ann Moore, 3 grandsons Garrett, Chazz, and Clint Moore, and a great granddaughter Faith Conley, her sister Helen (Walter) Smith, special sister in law and caregiver Sharon Moore and a number of nieces and nephews.
