Dr Dwight was the envy of every boy in Sumter County. He was a real life Huckleberry Finn. I remain sorry for your loss.

Dr. Dwight was my Doctor ever since he came to Bamberg. He lived next door to me on Dickinson Street. He was a great man and doctor. If he could not help me with my problem, he would send me to a specialist immediately. I didn't find out about his death until the night of July 26th when My son John called me.

My condolences to the family during this difficult time. I pray God comforts the family during this time of bereavement. May the cherished memories of Dr. Dwight comfort his family and friends. A comforting thought to keep in mind is at Isaiah 25:8 "He will swallow up death forever; and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces." The family is in my prayers.

Dear Family,
I would like to extend my condolences and some words of encouragement from God’s Word, the Bible,
Our loving Creator did not intend for us to die, so he promises to reunite us with our loved ones who have fallen sleep in death. (Hosea 13:14; Titus 1:2) Knowing you will see your dear Francis again will hopefully bring you some solace during your hour of loss.
Our merciful God, Jehovah, will also give you the strength to endure difficult times like this. (Psalms 55:22; 83:18; 121:1-3) So, please draw ever closer to and accept all the help from “our God who supplies endurance and comfort.” (Romans 15:5) I will also include you in my prayers.

May Marion Rest In Peace.

Learning of the sad passing of Marion came as a surprise; for, our ways were split many years ago. The remembrances of times together in our preteen years brought a rash of pleasantries as I recalled so many trips to Poinsett and birthday parties.

My prayers are with you at this time of sadness.

One of my greatest heroes. From the encouragement you gave me as only you could, I grew to be the nurse I am because of it. Nothing but love and respect will I always have for you. Rest well my doctor, mentor and friend. Thanks for the laughs and love along the way. Prayers to your family as we all learn to live without you. Eat a Reese's for me and ask God to shine bright on our Clemson Tigers. Love you always, Jewel

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Dr Dwight's family, friends and Bamberg County. He was an icon in Bamberg...bigger than life. He was my Dr for as long as I lived in Bamberg. He pierced my ears for the 1st time. He treated me for strep more times than I can count. He treated me when I was seriously burned when I was 6. He even left church one Sunday morning 30 years ago to meet me at the ER to treat my daughter for an ear infection. He also seriously scared me when he walked in and saw my baby girl on an ER table and gasped!!! I came running around the corner asking what was wrong, only to have him tell me he thought it was me sitting there. He was a man that will be greatly missed by my family. To his family all i can say is you were very blessed. He was one of a kind. You will be greatly missed Doc, but in my own selfish grief, I am happy you aren't suffering anymore. You gave you all to the people of Bamberg and my family will forever be grateful, and forever keep you in our hearts. Fly high Doc, and keep the watch over us all!!! You are loved and will be missed!!! RIP sweet man!!
