Bennie Alton Hutto, Sr., Bamberg, SC

Mr. Bennie Alton Hutto, Sr., entered into eternal rest October 5, 2017 after a brief illness.

Funeral services for Mr. Hutto, will be held 3:00pm Sunday, October 8, 2017 at the Edisto Baptist Church with the Rev. Jakie Walters officiating. Burial will be in Ott Cemetery in Branchville. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm-3:00pm, one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Hutto was born in Bamberg, SC on July 27, 1933 to the late Fred T. Hutto and the late Vernelle Boltin Hutto.

He was a member of Edisto Baptist Church, he loved to fish, go coon hunting, going to the beach, spending time with his family, cooking the family dinner on Sunday and was avid Gamecock fan.

He is survived by children B. Alton (Mary) Hutto, Jr., of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Stephanie (Ricky) Rickenbaker, Jonathan (Stephanie) Hutto, Stacey (Larry) Long, Jr., grandchildren David (Meghan) Hutto, J.J. Hutto, Larry Long, III, Caroline Long, Player Long, and one great grandchild Eliza Kate, 2 sisters Chessie Rhoad, Jane Bennett, 1 brother Francis Hutto, brother in law Henry Player, and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Everett Hutto, 1 sister Elise Cogburn, 3 brothers Thomas Hutto, J.C. Hutto, and James Hutto.
