Obituary

Betty Faye Priester, 88, of Bamberg passed peacefully on October 11, 2024. Betty was born to the late James Wyatt and Thelma Still Priester on February 2, 1936. She spent her childhood in Ehrhardt and Olar but called Bamberg her home. Betty was a dedicated employee, along with her mother, Thelma, for the Allied Department store in Denmark. She adored her family, nieces and nephews and loved them as her own. She also had a tremendous love for her community and her Gamecocks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ann and her husband Robert Hollis III; brother James Wyatt Priester II; brother-in-law, Jimmy McMillan; niece Bonnie McMillan Kearse Feltman (Kelly); and nephew Mac Kearse. Surviving are her sister, Maxine P. McMillan (Bamberg); nieces and nephews Donna Nash (Johnny) of Columbia; Robin Thompson (Frankie) of Gilbert, SC, Cathy Bannister (Steve), Robert (Bobby) W. Hollis IV, Connie Robertson (Henry), James Michael "Jim " Hollis all of Blythewood; and a host of great nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Monday,October 14,2024 at the Bamberg Memory Gardens with the Rev.Shawn Hanks officiating.
