Mrs. Brenda Gayle Whitt, age 67 died Tuesday, January 23, 2018 after an extended illness. She was a daughter of the late Ralph and Johnnie Ann Beard Smoak.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 25, 2018, at 4:00pm at Cooner Funeral Home Chapel, LLC (www.coonerfuneralhome.com) 287 McGee Street Bamberg, SC 29003. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM at funeral home, and afterwards everyone is invited to White Oak Hunting Lodge 255 White Oak Lane Lodge, SC 29082, and other times at 68 Trailwood Circle Bamberg, SC 29003.

She enjoyed being with her grands and great grands.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Whitt, two daughters Michelle (Dean) Kirby, Jennifer (William) Williams, Sr., one son Joey (Tracy) Whitt, grandchildren Alex (Jon Derek) Jeffcoat, Kendall Strickland (Doug), Christina Kirby, Camryn Kirby, Tyler Whitt, Lacey Brown, William A. Williams, Jr., great grandchildren Jon Sawyer and Mary Piper Jeffcoat, Addilyn Kirby, Gracie Kearse, two brothers Ralph Gregory Smoak, of Bamberg, John Ward Smoak, of Sylvania, GA, one sister Cindy Waldo of New Bren, NC.
