Mrs. Carolyn Belcher Ayer. Bamberg, SC Mrs. Carolyn Belcher Ayer, 83, passed away peacefully, Tuesday March 27th, 2018 at Cedar Plantation  Assisted Living facility in Metter, Ga. Born October 12, 1934 in Gaffney, SC.

Funeral services for Carolyn B. Ayer of Bamberg, SC will be held 3:00pm Thursday, March 29, 2018         at the Colston Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Shawn Hanks and Rev. Charlie Lucas officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery

She was the daughter of the late Reverend Leonard and Louise Belcher. She graduated Valedictorian from Lodge High School in 1952 and received a RN degree from the Baptist Hospital School of Nursing   in 1955. She lived her adult life in Bamberg, SC, where she worked as a RN at Bamberg Memorial Hospital and Bamberg Health Department. She was a member of Bamberg First Baptist Church, singing for many years in the choir, and she dearly loved her Sunday School class.

She was married to the late Franklin Delano Ayer and is survived by her three children, Frankie Kemp (Billy) of Bamberg, Carey Ayer(Patty) of Lexington, Jeff (Jean Marie) of Statesboro Ga, along with four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall after the service.
