Edna Dicks Morrell, Columbia, SC

Mrs. Edna Dicks Morrell, 92, of Columbia, SC, formerly of Bamberg, widow of Ralph Morrell Sr. passed away Friday, May 5, 2017.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, 2017, at Bamberg County Memory Gardens 14836 Heritage Highway (Hwy 78) Bamberg. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm until 2:30pm prior to the service at Bamberg County Memory Gardens.

Born in Aiken County, SC. She was a daughter of the late Norman Luther Dicks and the late Dora Hightower Gordon. She worked as office manager for Dr. Michael C Watson and Dr. F Marion Dwight for many years while living in Bamberg.

Survivors include her son Ralph Morrell, Jr. (Dianne) of Bamberg, her daughter Sue Jacobs of Columbia; two sisters Jalie Cothran of Aiken, and Ruth Scott of Windsor, three grandchildren, Rhonda Mixon (Michael) of Bamberg, Chris Morrell (Margaret Lynn) of Bamberg, and Dawn Jacobs of Columbia; and four great grandchildren, Kristin Caulder (Daniel), Kasey Mixon, Marlin Morrell and Daniel Morrell. She was predeceased by one brother Ben Dicks; one son in law Ronald Jacobs, and two brother in laws Jack Cothran and Arlie Scott.
