Evelyn Jean Priester, Bamberg, SC

Mrs. Evelyn Jean Priester, 83, of Bamberg, SC, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 8, 2019.

Funeral services for Mrs. Priester will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at the Spring Branch Baptist Church, 833 Deacon Road Bamberg, SC 29003, with Rev. Troy Peterson, Rev. Donnie Delk and Rev. Ken Sandifer officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the hour of service at the church.

Mrs. Priester was born August 17, 1936 in Lancaster, SC to the late Furman Jackson and the late Maude Wright Jackson.

She loved to cook, play the piano and organ for her church and caring for other people. Mom's main job was raising and caring for her family. She also worked for the school system in the lunch room program and for many years at Kilgus Printing. Mom's request for all of her family and friends, she is leaving behind. She is survived by five sons Allen (Harriet), Darryl (Wanda), Michael (Donna), Scott (Daria) and Dean (Tina) Priester, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband George Allen Priester, daughter Beverly Priester and sister Jean.
