Grover Lloyd (Pete) Crider, Jr. Cope, SC

Mr. Grover Lloyd (Pete) Crider, Jr. 66, of Cope, SC passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 24, 2019.

Funeral services with military honors for Mr. Pete will be held Friday, November 1, 2019 at 12:00 noon at Fort Jackson National Cemetery 4170 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29229.

Mr. Crider was born October 10, 1953 in Orangeburg, SC to the late Grover Lloyd Crider, Sr. and the late Doris Hair Crider.

Mr. Crider was drafted into the US Army and served his country for more than two decades. He was a highly decorated U S Army Ranger. He retired as a Sergeant First Class. He was a diehard Carolina Gamecock fan and loved to play golf.

He is survived by two sons Brandon Crider and Timothy Crider, one daughter Gena Lee Johns, two sisters Cassandra (Terry) Gates, Cynthia C. Thompson, one brother Steven Crider, grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews, predeceased by his parents Grover Lloyd Crider, Sr. and Doris Hair Crider and a son Grover Lloyd (Pee Wee) Crider, III.

Family will receive friends Thursday, October 31, 2019 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Cooner Funeral Home, LLC and other times at 118 Williams Street, Cordova, SC 29039.
