Ms. Helen Demaris Bessinger affectionally known as Ms. B, 89, of Bamberg, SC passed away Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Oak Leaf Village of Lexington.

Funeral services for Ms. Bessinger will be held 2:00pm Sunday, April 15, 2018 at the Cooner Funeral Home Chapel 287 McGee Street Bamberg, SC 29003 with the Rev. Charlie Lucas officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 one hour prior to the service.

Ms. Bessinger was born in Bamberg, SC to the late Charles L. Bessinger and the late Inez Hightower Bessinger. She was a member of Bamberg First Baptist Church. She retired from B. C. Moore's.

She is survived by one Sister Betty B. Bourne, a number of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Leroy Bessinger, James Bessinger, sisters Thelma Harrison, Mildred Hajek, Ruth Boatwright, and Mamie Bass, and a special friend Ed Gibson.
