Mr. Herbert Williams, Jr., age 68 died Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center in Charleston, SC after an extended illness. He was a son of the late Herbert and Margie Williams, Sr. formerly of Bamberg, SC.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 20, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Cooner Funeral Home Chapel (www.coonerfuneralhome.com) 287 McGee Street Bamberg SC 29003. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at funeral home.

Herbert served his country in the Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran. He also was an entrepreneur and a retired auditor with Bi-Lo, Inc.

He was an artist, a hobbyist, an outdoors-man and loved raising Golden Retrievers.

He is survived by his husband, Dean E. Jennings of Hanahan, a brother Benjamin C. (Judy) Williams, of Saluda and sisters Susan W. Mundo of Manning and Paula Van Patton of Greer, a step-son Matthew D. Jennings and step-granddaughter Mattelynn M. Jennings Both of Branchville. Herbert is also survived by nieces, nephews and a great-niece.
