Ima Collins Ayer, North Augusta, SC

Mrs. Ima Collins Ayer, 91 of North Augusta formerly of Ehrhardt passed away November 2, 2017 at the home of her niece where she resided since 2010.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ayer will be held 3:00pm Sunday, November 5, 2017 at the Springtown Baptist Church 6249 Hadwin Road Bamberg, SC. Burial will be in Springtown Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm-3:00pm, one hour prior to the service.

She was born in Bamberg, SC on November 11, 1925 to the late Willie Collins and the late Rose Long Collins. She was born the second of the 9 children.

Mrs. Ayer lived in both Augusta and Ehrhardt, SC, retired from Lily Tulip Cup and was a member of Springtown Baptist Church.

She is survived by her niece Terrie (Joey) Smith and several nieces and nephews, her sibling, Mary Collins, Willie Lee Free, Phoebe Widener, Melba Ann Pugh, and Vivan Etterle. Predeceased siblings Odie Collins Fail, Nellie Ruth Croft and Riley Collins. She was also predeceased by her husband of 23 years Arcnel Ayer in 2005.
