James C. Kearse, Jr. of Olar died after an extended illness on October 3, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Olar, SC on September 4, 1932.  Mr. Kearse was a son of the late James C. Kearse, Sr and Clara Herlong Kearse.

Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years Joyce Taylor Kearse and two daughters Debbie (Michael) Waltz of Goose Creek, SC and Lynne (Stephen) Harris of Barnwell, SC.   One grandson, James Chatham Harris of Twin Falls, Idaho.   Sister-in-law Wanda (Ken) Webb, Niece Ashley (Clint) Wyrick, Nephew Kenneth (Ashley) Webb, Chirs (Robyn) Taylor, Davis (Pam)Taylor.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 7m 2021 at the Mizpah United Methodist Church Cemetery 98 Mizpah Lane Olar, SC.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are asked to be made to the Mizpah Cemetery Association P. O. Box 805 Olar, SC 29843 or the Alzheimers Association of South Carolina.
