Joseph Marion Ott, Sr. 81, husband of Donna F. Ott and a son of the late John Luther Ott And Susie Euzile Seigler Ott, died Thursday, July 8, 2021 at the Lexington Medical center after a period of declining health.

Mr. Ott was educated in the Bamberg County School system where  he had perfect attendance from elementary until he graduated 12th grade, and was the retired owner of OTT Machine and Die Company.  He also was a farmer and enjoyed raising livestock, hunting and fishing.  He was a long time member of Union United Methodist Church and a member of the Hardee's Breakfast Bunch and also a long time member of the IPTAY club and the a member of the Gideon Bamberg Camp.

Mr. Ott is survived by his wife, Donna F. Ott, one son Jody Ott (Jennifer) and a daughter, Tammy Brown (Mike) and two step-daughters, Karen Coward (Jeremey) and Kristy Proveaux (Brandon), nine grandchildren, Jessica Ott, Addisyn Ott, Cody Brown, Logan Brown, step-grandchildren, Alaina Jones, Marleigh Jones,Jake Edmonds, Hunter Proveaux, Wyatt Proveaux and one sister Mary Ott Crawford.  Mr. Ott was preceded in death by his former wife Linda Ott, and a brother, Martin Luther Ott.

Funeral Service will be Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Union United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Monday, July 12, 2021 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Conner Funeral Home,287 McGee Street, Bamberg, SC 29003  (803) 245-2828.
