Judy Lynette Lyons, 69, died Saturday, July 31, 2021 after a extended period of declining health.  She was a daughter of the late Herbert Gregory Nix and Runette Joyner Nix.

Mrs. Lyons attended Open Door Baptist Church and was know to all as " Nanny Judy".  She was a loving grandmother to her two grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Furtick Jones (Chris) a step-daughter, Cindy Lyons Dyches (Jamie) and a step-son Eddie Lyons, two sisters, Carrie Linda Laird (Donnie) and Marvena Moody (Jerry).  Additional survivors are her grandson, Austin Allen Furtick (Chelsea) and four great- grandchildren.  Mrs. Lyons was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Hannah Elizabeth Furtick, and three brothers, Robert Eugene Nix,Lonnie Herbert Nix, Ralph Victor Nix.

Funeral Services will be 12:00 PM Tuesday, August, 3, 2020 at the Cooner Funeral Home, 287 McGee Street Bamberg, SC 29003 with the Rev. Dean Deer officiating and Rev. Shawn Hanks.  Burial will follow at Bamberg Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends Tuesday morning from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Cooner Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to the  Alzheimers foundation.
