Mrs. Mary Virginia Bowen Thomasson, 91, of Cope, SC passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Pruitt Health Bamberg.

Funeral services for Mary Virginia Bowen Thomasson of Bamberg, SC will be held 3:00pm Sunday, March 8, 2018 at the Cooner Funeral Home Chapel 287 McGee Street Bamberg, SC 29003 with the Rev. Billy Poovey officiating. Burial will follow in South End Cemetery.

Mrs. Thomasson was born in Aiken County, SC to the late Lewis T. Bowen and the late Thelma Chitty Bowen. She was a member of Bethel Church. She loved her family and loved her church.

She is survived by one daughter Lynn (Johnnie) Murray, sons Randy Bowen, Greg (Renee) Bowen, Donnie (Jamie) Bowen, Henry (Kathy) Bowen, Terry Bowen, Ken Bowen, a number of grand and great grands, one sister Frances Syfrett. She was predeceased by her husband Ed Thomasson, one son Mike Bowen, one daughter Phyllis Thomasson, and two brothers.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Cooner Funeral Home, LLC (www.coonerfuneralhome.com).
