Mary Elizabeth Joyner Russell, Bamberg, SC

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Joyner Russell, 71, of Bamberg, SC, passed away May 2, 2019.

Funeral services for Mrs. Russell will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, May 5, 2019 at the Spring Branch Baptist Church, 833 Deacon Road Bamberg, SC 29003, with Rev. Troy Peterson and Rev. Eddie Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Russell was born March 19, 1948 in Bamberg County to the late Jesse Joyner       and the late Lila Gunnells Joyner.

She was a member of Spring Branch Baptist Church. She loved to bake cakes and pies. She loved and adored her great grandchildren.

She is survived by her son Kenneth (Janet) Russell, grandchildren Glennda (Cody) Cain, great grandchildren Kyleah, Morgyn, and Colten Cain, five sisters Bonnie Folk, Gail Sharpe, Christine (Richard) English, Carrie Sanders (Oscar Verdugo), Shirley (Cecil) Love, three brothers Harvey (Janet) Joyner, George Lee (Terri) Joyner, Thomas (Cindy) Joyner and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Glenn Russell, father in law Mervin Russell and mother in law Bonnie Russell.

The family will receive friends Saturday, May 5, 2019 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Cooner Funeral Home, LLC 287 McGee Street Bamberg, SC  29003.
