Michael Harry Tomlinson 80, of Bamberg passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Regional Medical Center of Orangeburg.

A Memorial service will be held 11:00 am, Friday, June 9, 2017 at Trinity United Methodist Church. Visitation will begin at 10am for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at South End Cemetery. Rev. David Caughman and Rev. Julian Long will officiate each service.

He is survived by his wife Florence Livingston Dodd Tomlinson of Bamberg, a son Michael and wife Sherry of Bowman, grandchildren Jacob and Kelly, sister Frances and sister-in-law Dr. Joy Pohl of Washington, D.C.

Mike, as he was known, spent well over 50 years in sales management and business ownership which led him to live in North Carolina, Florida and Tennessee. He attended Clemson and earned a degree in business from Florida Southern. He moved back to South Carolina in 1993 and married his wife, Florence, on November 30, 1995. He was known for a time as an avid fisherman and hunter and in later life became known as an accomplished bridge player.

He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church PO Box 335, 11761 Heritage Hwy, Bamberg, SC 29003 where donations can be made.
