Nolan Earl Quattlebaum, 91 of Bamberg, South Carolina passed away on Thursday, April 16th at MUSC-Orangeburg surrounded by his family. He was Born on March 20, 1935 in Greenwood, SC to the late Myrtie Mullinax Quattlebaum and Samuel Evander Quattlebaum. He was also preceded in death by first wife Jennie Irene Canady Quattlebaum and then his second wife Joan Hughes Quattlebaum. 

Nolan is survived by his daughter's Becky (Alton) Spell of Windsor, Melissa Ann Quattlebaum of Bamberg and Jamie (Justin) Edgemon of Orangeburg.

His grandchildren Kristina (Matthew Colleran) of Beaufort, Tyler Dantzler of Charleston, Seth Spell of Windsor, Avia Edgemon of Orangeburg, Brina Edgemon of Orangeburg, Cloe Edgemon of Orangeburg and Valerie Edgemon of Orangeburg.

His great grandchildren Kayli Ransom of Aiken, Terry Ransom Jr of Windsor, Kaydence Ransom of Windsor, Taylor Ransom of Aiken and Kamdyn Ransom of Beaufort.

Nolan was former military and served in the US Army Infantry Division as a PFC(E-3). He worked as a heavy equipment operator building roads then went on to drive for Kirkland Oil in Bamberg and retired with Brabham Oil Company in Bamberg.

He loved fishing, the mountains, going to the flea markets and spending time with his family and friends. He also loved listening to old time country and gospel music.

Pallbearers will be Justin Edgemon, Terry Ransom, Jr, Matthew Colleran, Seth Spell, Ronald Dean Gunnells, and Robbie Evans with Kamdyn Ransom as an honorary pallbearer.

Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 pm on Saturday, April 25 at Cooner-Smith Funeral Home with services following. Burial will conclude at Bamberg County Memory Gardens.
