Obituary

Robert McMillan Kearse, 33, died on May 13, 2024 after a period of declining Health.  He was a son of the late James Mackay Kearse and the late Bonnie Faye McMillan.

Mr. Kearse was formerly employed with Valentine Cotton Gin.  He was a 2009 Graduate of Bamberg High School and attended the Methodist Church.  Mr. Kearse enjoyed spending time watching baseball, playing golf and fishing.  He also enjoyed and hunting, collecting Arrowheads and Sharks teeth.

Mr. Kearse is survived by his daughter, Kennerly Grace Kearse, a brother, James "Jim" P. Kearse, grandmother, Maxine McMillan, aunt, Donna McMillan Nash (Johnny),aunt and uncle Robbie and Ricky Kearse, great aunts Betty Priester and Shirley Kirkland, cousins, Lee Kearse, Bubba and Jessica Kearse, Bralyn and Jared Wood, Nieces and Nephews, Camden and Charly Wood, Zay Rhett and Buck Kearse,  Kaydon Kearse and numerous cousins.  He was predeceased by his grandfather, Jimmy McMillan and Robert and Evelyn Kearse and brothers, Robert and Riley Kearse.

Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Thursday, May 16, 2024 at the Open Door Baptist Church with the Rev. Shawn Hanks officiating.  Interment will follow at the Bamberg Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 pm Thursday prior to the service.  Best friend Justin Smith and Honorary Pallbearers, Bubba Kearse and Lee Kearse. Pallbearers are Bryan Ayer, Frank Rice, Caufman Hall, Patrick Collins, Jared Wood, Braxton Wannamaker.
