Ruth Clayton Frye, 96, transitioned from this life into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on, January 28, 2025, at Addington Place, Titusville, FL after a long struggle with AlzheimersDisease.

The family will receive friends Friday, February 7th beginning at 10 AM at First Baptist Church, Bamberg, SC.  A memorial service will follow at 11 AM with the Rev. Charlie Lucus and Rev. Brad Hudson officiating. Private interment will be in Colston Branch Baptist Church cemetery.

Mrs. Frye was the daughter of the late David Samuel Clayton, Sr. and Bessie Kirkland Clayton.  She graduated from Bob Jones University in 1952 with a BA in English and Bible and earned her Masters Degree from Central Missouri State in 1963.  She worked as an elementary school teacher for more than 40 years.  She was very active in her church, serving as a Sunday school teacher, and a member of WMU. She went on a mission trip to Bangladesh at the age of 77.

She will be remembered as a loving mother, her strong Christian example, sweet disposition, and her love for others.

Mrs. Frye is survived by her son, Mark C. Frye (Laura), Titusville FL.,brother, Dan Clayton (Zelda), Aiken, SC. Grandchildren: Richard Frye, Amber Frye, Nathan Frye,  Samuel Frye,  Audrey McCullough, Raymond Beyrle, and Michael Beyrle (Angela).

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Frye, brother David Clayton, and sister Betty C. Boyd.

The family would like to thank, the many friends for their prayers, cards, and the staff at The Place at Shadow Oaks, Addington Place, and St. Francis Hospice for their loving care.
