Shelby Jean Myers, 82, of Bamberg, South Carolina passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025, surrounded by her family.  Born and raised in Bamberg, SC, she was the daughter of the late James S. (Jim) Gunnells and Frances W. Gunnells.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was married to the love of her life, Lyle Myersfor 64 years. She dedicated her life to raising their three daughters while supporting her husband with the family business, J. L. Myers Paving, Inc., as office manager. She later enjoyed her retired life with her husband and dog, Sparky, traveling across the United States and Canada in their motor coach. Their empty "nest" was then filled with the love and excitement of their new pups Lovey and Trouble.

She is survived by her husband, Lyle Myers; their three daughters, Jill Kennerly (Gene), Ronika Robinson (Randy), and Francee Sams (Tal); six grandchildren, Matthew Kennerly, Shelly Knight (Dalton), Kelsey Sandifer (Randon), Katie Sanders (Chase), Mitch Robinson (Ally), and Sarah Leisenring (Levi);  seven great grandchildren, Mason Sanders, Wyatt Sanders, McCoy Sandifer, Emerson Sandifer, Addyson Sanders, Hollis Knight and Ilah Leisenring. She was preceded in death by her parents Jim and Frances Gunnells and her first grandchild Hailey Robinson.

Visitation with the family will be at Cooner Funeral Home from 6:00pm – 8:00pm June 1, 2025.  Funeral services will be 1:00pm Monday, June 2, 2025 at Cooner Funeral Home with the Rev. Brad Hudson officiating. Pall bearers will be Matthew Kennerly, Mitch Robinson, Dalton Knight, Randon Sandifer, Chase Sanders and Levi Leisenring.  Interment will follow at the Bamberg Memory Gardens.
