Obituary

Joseph Lee McMillan, 84, died peacefully at home on September 1, 2022 after a long battle with end-stage Renal Disease.  He was a son of the late Perry Lee McMillan and Hermine Beard McMillan.

Mr. McMillan was born in Bamberg, SC on March 26, 1938.  He was a Graduate of Clemson University where he earned a degree in Industrial Engineering.  After graduation, he was Vice President and General Manager for Delavan, Inc and was a member of Bamberg First Baptist Church.  He served his community in many capacities as well as a 22 year Veteran of the National Guard.  He enjoyed fishing, Clemson football games, and had a great love for horses and his family.  He was respected and loved by all that knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Harper McMillan, three daughters, Angela McMillan Bunch, Vicki McMillan (Todd Brozovich ) and Jodi McMillan Coyne (Andy). Additional survivors are his grandchildren, John Randal Bunch, III, Cameron Hilton Bunch, Ellis Harper Coyne, Jenna Marie Brozovich, Sydney Lawton Brozovich, two sisters, Harriet McMillan Hare, Gwendolyn McMillan Kearse, and one brother, Ronald Kay McMillan.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Harper Joseph Bunch. 

Funeral Services will be Sunday, September 4, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at the Bamberg First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Hutto and Rev. Brad Hudson officiating.  Interment will follow in the McMillan Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from1:00 P.M. until 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church.

In lieu of Flowers, Memorials may be made to the Bamberg  First Baptist Church or the American Diabetes Association, .Diabetes.org/Diabetes/donations.
